About Us

I have a simple philosophy – I like to help make your garden your pride and joy, it doesn’t matter if you need a good clear out and tidy up, regular maintenance or a complete redesign! I am here to help, advice or labour. Nothing in and around the garden is too little or too much work. Let me do the graft so you can relax and enjoy.

I am passionate about gardens and my business only grows by reputation and referrals. I am fully insured, smart and reliable. You are paying me, so my time with you is for YOU.

Although I am based in West Sussex, I cover the whole of East & West Sussex. I currently have clients from Ferring to Brighton and all in between. My prices are very competitive and I offer friendly, hard working and reliable gardening services for both domestic and commercial needs. Customer references can be provided on request.

Yearly Guide

Ensure that vulnerable plants are protected from the wintery conditions.

Keep on top of the winter germinating weeds, hoe and compost the annual weeds and dig out perennial weeds, ensuring you get as much of the deep root.

Prune wisteria and other vigorous climbers.
Plant deciduous hedging.
Brush snow off heavily laden trees and shrubs.

If weather allows plant trees, shrubs, fruit trees.

Prune winter flowering shrubs as flowers fade, in milder areas prune roses.

Cut back overgrown shrubs and hedges before nesting season starts.

Finish pruning fruit trees as weather improves.

Prune grape vines before sap starts rising.

Start mowing lawns regularly in early spring.

Mulch bare soil beds and borders.

Plant out young plants raised under cover.

Water regularly, especially new plants, trees and shrubs.

Tie in shoots of climbers and prune the early flowering shrubs.

Spray roses against black spot.

Protect young plants from slugs.

Feed and weed lawns.

In early spring, last chance to plant bare root trees and shrubs.

Last chance to plant Summer flowering bulbs.

Finish planting every green shrubs.

Your garden should start to look it’s best and will reach its peak for the year. You will be able to enjoy the longer summer evenings, relaxing and entertaining friends.

Make sure new and young plants are well watered, also make sure the birds have enough water too.

Be on alert for pests and diseases.
Deadhead flowers and prune early flowering shrubs.
Trim hedges regularly.
Prune rambling roses.

Trim lavender after flowers fade.

Water vegetables regularly
Finish Summer pruning apples and pears, together with other trained fruit trees.

Fill gaps in bed with bedding plants.

Sow the last vegetables for autumn harvest.

Start clearing Autumn debris

Net ponds to stop leaves falling in them.

Sow or turf new lawns. Scarify and aerate established lawns.

Move evergreen shrubs.

Divide overgrown perennials.
Plant Spring flowering bulbs.
Rake up leaves regularly.
Dig over empty areas.

Repair fences, sheds and decking.

Another RHS classic and must have. From beginners to experts it will contain vital knowledge to help with your garden. I recommend this a lot to my new customers who want to learn as much as they can and enjoy their garden.

Jake Hobson is my go to expert on anything pruning. He is trained in Japan and now shares his knowledge with all of us. This book is one I lend out a lot. I have also bought this book as presents for so many people!
